Our coconut variety
Our palms are the Chactemal hybrid, a coconut variety developed by Mexico's INIFAP agricultural research institute by crossing the Malayan Yellow Dwarf with the Criollo Alto Michoacán — bred specifically to resist Lethal Yellowing, the disease that has devastated coconut plantations across the region. It's a deliberate choice for stronger palms, more consistent fruit, and a supply chain that isn't one bad season away from disappearing.
